A Cozy Sunday

Hey there. For today's post, I don't have any particular topic in mind. I just feel like spilling all my thoughts on this wonderful day. My exams just came to an end, and right now I'm in my most peaceful state of mind 😊 As my exams were going on and I was stressing myself about it, sometimes I would indeed wonder, 'Why don't I just close all the books in front of me and write whatever I remember during the exam tomorrow?'. I'm glad I didn't do that, but I'm sure it's not only me who wonders such 'do-not-execute-this-plan' kinda plans. Though I know that I would never do that, my brain thinks 'why not enjoy now and suffer later' instead of 'suffer now and be happy later'- the latter works the best, take my word for it.  So as I was saying, I did my exams well (hopefully) and have been celebrating this the entire time. People who know me well know that I'm not a party animal and I prefer watching The Conjuring, a...

How Harry Potter Inspired Me : Part 1

Image
Let's start with the basics. What is magic? Magic is not an illusion nor is it something 'made-up'. Well, if you are a huge Potterhead (like me), you'd know what I'm talking about 😉....... Magic is simply, a different realm of life. If you are not familiar with the basics of magic, I mean Harry Potter, don't worry 'cause that's why I'm here! We have all waited for our Hogwarts letter on our eleventh birthday. Thanks to Pottermore, some of us were lucky enough to become a Hogwarts student, virtually. I am a proud Gryffindor. If you haven't been sorted yet, make sure you do it as soon as possible.               I worship JK Rowling. Had it not been for her, and her magical mind, my childhood wouldn't have been this memorable and enchanted. Harry Potter has taught me so much in life. JKR made me believe in myself and taught me that in life one must face the reality with ut...

Something Sinister

Image
The breeze blew against me As I walked towards the lake; Little did I know that I wished to be awake But in that icy silence, there she stood. 'Murdock Lane' said the board in blue I wondered why I'm here, As I saw the sky's black hue I could see Martha, her silhouette Everything I could hear was my heart's beat The closer I got to her, the more sinister it seemed                   But my legs carried me forward, I wasn't sure why "I shouldn't have died" she weeped, Strong emotions rushed inside me. "But why am I here?" Still no answers I could see something, something that startled me Around her neck, hung a sparkling chain A chain with a pendant, that said 'I'm alive' Suddenly, she turned to face me: "You will know why, as you arise" The words from her mouth, Peirced me as I saw her eyes. Within seconds, there I was on my bed I sighed in relief, glad to know that I'm not dead; ...

Pet Peeves?!

Okay. So, this is my first post and let me get this straight to you. I am a simple girl and I do have 'pet peeves'. Sometimes people are so annoying that you may feel like screaming at the top of your lungs. This is a pet peeve. Everyone has them, it's like a basic essential of your life. Let me talk about some of my pet peeves.       BOOKS. I absolutely love reading books and I have plenty of friends who love reading too. You wanna borrow a book from me? That's great, really. But you should be aware of the ground rules which matter A LOT. 1. No food stains please. I can understand that you love reading the book but not while you're chomping on a sandwich, and decide to spread the mayonnaise on my book instead. 2. Dog-eared pages. I love dogs, but it drives me crazy to see pages in my book dog-eared. I mean like how hard is it to use a bookmark? 3. Creased spines. I usually try my best to not fold my book too much because you get those creases on the spine of...
